Samaya
Pre-beta. Samaya is early software: expect rough edges and changes between releases. Keep a backup of your Org files.

Plane

The Plane panel lists work items from saved searches across one Plane workspace, on Plane Cloud or your own instance. Drag one onto a day to plan it as an Org task. See GitHub for shared planning controls.

Workspace and sign-in

Settings → Plane → Instance is your workspace's address, as your browser shows it: https://app.plane.so/my-team on Plane Cloud, or https://plane.example.com/my-team on your own instance. A page address under the workspace also works. Cycle and module filters are not supported on Community Edition.

Plane has no CLI to sign in with, so paste an API token in Settings → Plane. Create one in your Plane profile's Personal access tokens settings. Delete token removes it after confirmation.

If your instance sits behind Cloudflare, its bot protection may answer Samaya with a challenge page instead. The panel says so; ask your instance's admin to let its /api/ through.

Filters

Manage saved filters in Settings → Plane.

A filter's query is key=value pairs joined by &. @me stands for you, and a parameter ending in __in takes several values, separated by commas:

ParameterFinds
assignee_id=@meitems assigned to you; also takes a member's ID
state_groupbacklog, unstarted, started, completed, cancelled or triage
priorityurgent, high, medium, low or none
project_iditems in this project, by its ID
label_iditems with this label, by its ID
cycle_id, module_iditems in this cycle or module, by its ID
target_date__lte=2026-10-31items due by this date; __gte from it, and start_date likewise
searchitems whose text contains this
order_bya field to sort by, - for descending, instead of by update

The defaults are:

NameQuery
Assigned to meassignee_id=@me&state_group__in=unstarted,started
Backlogassignee_id=@me&state_group=backlog

Planning an item

As on GitHub, a card dropped on a day becomes a task in Inbox.org, recorded as coming from Plane by the work item's ID and identifier. Its card shows the work item's type, such as Bug, or Work item when it has none.
